REAL ATHLETES.
REAL PROGRESS.
See what happens when training is built around the athlete—not the other way around.
Hannah
FROM “WHAT IF” TO CHASING A BQ.
A NEW LEVEL OF POSSIBILITY
Although Hannah ran cross country and track in high school, she’s relatively new to racing seriously as an adult. What started as something she enjoyed quickly became a desire to see how far she could push herself—and what she was actually capable of.
After working with other running coaches, Hannah came to TRI2RUN looking for more structure, accountability, and a coach who would push her toward the goals she wanted to chase.
A YEAR OF PRs
In a short period of time, Hannah has completely changed what she believes she’s capable of.
She’s set new personal bests across multiple distances:
5K — 20:06
10K — 42:49
10 MILES — 1:10:21
HALF MARATHON — 1:38
The times are exciting. But for Hannah, the bigger win is the shift in expectations. Goals that once felt impossible are now the goals she’s actively chasing.
“The progress I’ve made this year has completely changed what I believe I’m capable of.”
— Hannah
CURRENT GOALS
BOSTON MARATHON QUALIFICATION
SUB-1:30 HALF MARATHON
OVERALL PODIUM
“Working with you has made me realize that maybe my ceiling is a lot higher than I thought it was.”
— Hannah
STRUCTURE. ACCOUNTABILITY. TRUST.
For Hannah, the biggest difference has been accountability.
She’s worked with other running coaches before, but says she never felt the same level of accountability. She does best when someone is paying attention, expects her to show up, and isn’t afraid to push her.
She also appreciates being able to trust the plan instead of constantly wondering whether she’s doing too much, too little, running too fast, or not pushing hard enough.
The combination of structure, consistency, accountability, and recovery has helped her progress faster than she expected.
Gloria
FROM “DOING” TRIATHLON TO CHASING BIG GOALS.
FROM TRIATHLETE TO COMPETITIVE ENDURANCE ATHLETE
Gloria started working with Zach in 2019 after years of simply “doing” triathlon. She was looking for a coach who could help her reach her potential, while understanding the realities of her busy life.
From the beginning, coaching focused on her goals, her schedule, and where she had the greatest opportunity to improve. Over the years, that approach helped transform her from a recreational triathlete into a competitive, podium-level endurance athlete.
YEARS OF PROGRESS
Since 2019, Gloria has competed in three IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships and qualified for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona twice.
She also discovered another side of her potential as a runner, qualifying for the Boston Marathon and, most recently, the New York City Marathon.
3× 70.3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
2× IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER
BOSTON MARATHON QUALIFIER
NEW YORK CITY MARATHON QUALIFIER
For Gloria, the biggest change wasn't simply the results. It was the confidence to believe those results were possible.
“Hiring Zach Miller was truly one of the best decisions I have made in my journey to becoming a competitive endurance athlete.”
— Gloria
STRUCTURE. FLEXBILITY. TRUST.
Gloria travels frequently for work and personal life, and training has had to adapt along the way.
One of the things she values most about long-term coaching is having someone who understands the athlete behind the training plan—and knows when to push, when to adjust, and when to simply keep moving forward.
After years of working together, that understanding has become one of the most valuable parts of the coaching relationship.
NICK
FROM “JUST FINISH” TO 5:47.
A PLAN CHANGED EVERYTHING.
Nick started coaching with TRI2RUN in May 2025 with a goal of completing his first IRONMAN 70.3. What started as a goal to simply finish quickly became a much bigger pursuit.
With structured training, accountability, and a plan built around his busy life, Nick finished his first 70.3 at IRONMAN 70.3 North Carolina in 5:57:42.
10:35 FASTER
Less than a year later, Nick returned to the 70.3 distance at IRONMAN 70.3 Maine and finished in 5:47:07—more than ten minutes faster than his first race and well under his original sub-6-hour goal.
5:57:42 — FIRST 70.3
5:47:07 — SECOND 70.3
10:35 — IMPROVEMENT
The biggest difference wasn't just the time. Nick says he felt significantly more comfortable on race day and now has his sights set on breaking 5 hours.
“I was surprised with how comfortable I felt on race day. Compared to when I was winging my half marathons alone, it felt like suffering the whole race and I thought that was normal.”
“We travel a lot, so he's constantly making it work around our busy schedule.”
— Nick
NEXT GOAL: SUB-5:00 70.3
STRUCTURE. ACCOUNTABILITY. PROGRESS.
For Nick, coaching has meant having a weekly schedule, workouts that produce measurable results, and consistent accountability.
He and his family travel frequently, so training has to work around a busy schedule. TRI2RUN adjusts the plan when life gets in the way without losing sight of the bigger goal.
