ABOUT TRI2RUN

COACHING BUILT AROUND THE ATHLETE.

TRI2RUN was built on a simple idea: the best training plan isn't the one that looks perfect on paper. It's the one that's built around the athlete—their goals, experience, schedule, and life.

WHY TRI2RUN EXISTS

Training should fit the athlete—not the other way around.

Too often, endurance training is treated like a formula: follow the schedule, hit the numbers, and hope everything else fits around it. But athletes have jobs, families, travel, changing schedules, good weeks, bad weeks, and lives outside of training.

TRI2RUN was created to take a different approach. The goal is to combine purposeful, structured training with the flexibility and communication needed to make that training work in the real world.

INDIVIDUALIZED

Your training starts with your goals, experience, strengths, schedule, and the athlete you are today.

PURPOSEFUL

Every workout should have a reason and move you toward something—not simply fill space on a training calendar.

REALISTIC

Great training only works when you can consistently do it. Your plan has to account for work, family, travel, recovery, and life.

MEET ZACH

Coach. Endurance athlete. Someone who understands that training has to coexist with life.

I started coaching runners and triathletes in 2016 after experiencing firsthand how much the right structure, guidance, and accountability can change an athlete's training.

Since then, I've coached athletes across the endurance spectrum—from people preparing for their first race to experienced competitors chasing personal bests, age-group podiums, Boston Marathon qualification, and world championship events.

Along the way, I've learned that successful coaching isn't about handing someone a perfect training plan. It's about understanding the athlete behind the plan—when to push, when to adjust, and how to keep moving forward when life doesn't cooperate.

That's the approach I bring to TRI2RUN.

COACHING SINCE 2016 • RUNNING & TRIATHLON • ATHLETES FROM FIRST RACES TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

EXPERIENCE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE START LINE

Experience earned through coaching, training, and racing.

My approach to coaching comes from more than writing training plans. I've spent years training, racing, failing, adjusting, and pursuing ambitious goals of my own—from road races and IRONMAN triathlons to 100-mile ultramarathons.

That experience shapes how I coach. I understand what it takes to fit serious training around the rest of life, what race day feels like when months of work are on the line, and how much the details matter when you're chasing a goal that isn't guaranteed.

THE TRI2RUN APPROACH

Good coaching is more than writing workouts.

The training matters, but so does the relationship behind it. TRI2RUN coaching is built on communication, honest feedback, accountability, and the ability to make good decisions as training and life evolve.

COMMUNICATE

Coaching works best when athlete and coach communicate openly about training, recovery, life, and what's working—or isn't.

BE HONEST

Sometimes you need encouragement. Sometimes you need to be challenged. Good coaching means being willing to have both conversations.

STAY FLEXIBLE

A missed workout or changed schedule doesn't ruin the plan. We adapt, make the best decision for where you are, and keep moving forward.

KEEP THE GOAL IN SIGHT

Daily training decisions should support the bigger objective. We adjust the path when needed without losing sight of where you're trying to go.

BUILT FOR THE LONG RUN

TRI2RUN is about more than one coach or one training plan.

TRI2RUN was created to build a coaching environment where athletes can pursue meaningful goals with individualized training, honest communication, and support that fits real life.

As TRI2RUN grows, those principles will remain the foundation: athletes first, purposeful training, and coaching relationships built for long-term progress.

ATHLETE FIRST

The athlete behind the training plan will always come first.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

Growth should never come at the expense of individualized coaching and meaningful athlete-coach relationships.

BUILT TO EVOLVE

As your fitness, goals, and life evolve, your coaching should evolve with you.

YOUR GOALS. YOUR TRAINING. YOUR NEXT STEP.
